Dr. Pamela Eckmann - Functional Chiropractor

Welcome to My Chiro Health with Dr. Pam!

Dr. Pamela Eckmann, or Dr. Pam as everyone knows her, is a functional chiropractor with an emphasis in Neurology and Nutrition treating patients in Colleyville, Southlake, Bedford, Grapevine, Hurst, Keller and surrounding areas.   In addition to spinal adjustments, our office offers physical therapy and rehab, utilizing Interferential and Microcurrent Stimulation, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Inter-segmental Traction, Upper Body Cycling for the shoulders and other spinal rehab, Decompression Therapy, Exercise with Oxygen, Class IIIb Laser treatments (and this is awesome stuff), Warm Air Calorics (and Epley's Manuevers) for vertigo and much more.   We recognize the importance of using different types of therapies available for relieving pain, reducing scar tissue and inflammation, stabilizing the spine and other joints, and for stretching, strengthening and conditioning muscles, in addition to improving brain function that makes our bodies work and function. These therapies work in conjunction with the adjustments to provide faster healing and to help provide lasting results.  Add proper nutrition, supplements and weight loss (if needed), and you have the whole problem under control.

So what bothers you?  Too much time at the computer and horrid shoulder & neck pain, or is it carrying around your young child and feeling "stuck" in the mid-back?  How about that pain that can shoot down your leg, sometimes to your feet?  I treat shoulders, hips, knees and feet, tennis elbow, and pretty much any ache you have.  I work with patients that have diabetes, MS, fibromyalgia, migraines, plantar facsitis, and other "diseases".  The point is, that life is much easier when our bodies work better.

Give chiropractic a try.  I know, some are afraid, or have heard stories (more like myths), or think they "just don't need it" because they don't have pain or were never in an accident, but believe me, you want to find out what this is about.  No massage will ever take the place of an adjustment, and there is SO much that makes up YOU, your own uniqueness in what your nutritional needs are, your physical needs or limitations, and your mental & spiritual needs.  Call me if only to talk, but call to get the real answers.

What is Chiropractic?

Although chiropractic has long been recognized for helping back pain, it is not just for backs, as mentioned above.  Chiropractic is primarily spinal care, though we work on any joint in the body, including the feet.  The spinal cord is protected by the 24 moving bones that make up your spine.  Many everyday activities can cause the joints of the spinal bones to be stressed in ways that cause malpositioning or motion, resulting in a spinal malfunction called a Subluxation.  A Subluxation can irritate nerves, muscles, or other soft tissues compromising function and causing pain, inflammation, numbness, weakness, etc.  A chiropractic doctor is trained to find these areas of spinal malfunction and help restore joint function to a more normal position or motion.  This is achieved by providing a specific force (adjustment) in a precise direction to normalize spinal function and avoid bone and soft tissue degeneration.  Chiropractic is a low-risk, drug-free approach to health and healing.
